This site is a forum for discussing religion, politics, and other discomfiting subjects. Too much of public discourse occurs at a very superficial level. Our republic cannot endure without an understanding of the fundmanental principles that underlie it. Policy needs to be debated with those principles constantly in view, or else laws will be enacted and decisions will be made purely on the basis of moral relativism, utilitarianism, and hedonism.
